Some comments on the performances of Double Duos:

I organise the Munch with Music lunchtime concerts at St John’s Church, Caterham, Surrey. Double Duos are regular performers who delight our audiences with their professional playing. They are friendly and talk to the audience about the pieces they are performing.

Double Duos performed at short notice at the East Surrey Choral Society Summer concert in June and played music to compliment the choirs’ programme. The audience really enjoyed the music and the choir and their conductor were very appreciative.

I have found the leader of Double Duos, Trevor Denyer to be a good communicator always replying promptly to my emails.

We have enjoyed a good relationship with Double Duos this year with performances on our extensive outside area and with an upcoming much larger afternoon tea dance within a marquee on our lawns.

They are a very friendly professional quartet, with a varied repertoire who can adjust their playlist to suit their audience. This provides great confidence when planning and organising events.

The quartet Double Duos came this year to play in our summer concert. They were really popular and I saw lots of toe tapping, smiles and singing from the choir and audience. They were friendly and amusing with a high standard of playing. We loved the warm sound of their swing and show music programme and what is more, they will adapt their programme to suit whatever occasion they are engaged for. This versatile group have very reasonable fees, so why not try them?

The group comprises four players: Alan Lakin and Michael Withers – clarinet/saxophones, Trevor Denyer – horn and  Susan Denyer – double bass.     This talented group of musicians performs jazz style repertoire with verve and style  –  ideal for parties, out door events, background music etc.    The group performed in the lunchtime concert series at St Matthew’s Church, Redhill on Thursday, July 26th 2018 and gave a 50 minute concert prior to the annual end of season party.    It was greatly enjoyed by our audience.
